The connections in Project Based Learning (PBL), and life, is that it teaches some of us what we need to know, to get the job we want. Some examples of it teaching us life skills, would be that it teaches us: Leadership, respect, integrity, collaboration, accountability, et cetera. If we do not have this skills, we almost will always fail ! I feel like when our teachers teach us these skills, they know from experience, and time. Most of these skills are used in common day jobs, and activities, For example, if you were to work with someone you don't like, you are still expected to be nice to them, and if you be nice, most likely they will be too. I do think that since our classroom did best in English Language Acquisition, it will really push PBL, since, from my resources, some 6th grade teachers are already on- board with PBL.
P.S I have contacted a school in Idaho, and i'm trying to convince them to start Project Based Learning.
